Since 2015, I have been a non-tenure-track faculty member at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I teach in the Film, Video, New Media, and Animation department at SAIC, and you can visit my faculty profile page to see information about my current and upcoming course listings.
Teaching in Media Practices: Moving Image, I introduce undergraduate college students to the practice, history, and theory of a wide variety of moving image media techniques. Over the course of the semester, my teaching colleague and I provide a working introductory knowledge of digital video, 16mm film, stop-motion and 3D animation, media installation, and new media art. This is accomplished through a combination of hands-on studio projects, critiques, and demonstrations, lectures and screenings, and in-depth discussions of artworks and related readings.

Media Performance, Experimental Film/Video, History of New Media (Art), Social Media/Internet Culture, Performance Art, Critical Theory, Queer / Gender / Sexuality Studies, Cyborg Theory, Disability Studies, Popular Culture, Music Videos, Sound Art/Experimental Music, Contemporary Theatre & Performance, Classical Theatre, Clown/Circus Arts, Czech Surrealism, the Horror Genre, Fashion, Poetry, Psychology, Creative Non-Fiction.
